The movie itself bombed, but Murtagh, and Durza (love you Rob, especially now that I know who you are), were two parts of the movie they actually did right.
Nope. I was actually disappointed with Brom. Jeremy Irons did good for their interpretation, don't get me wrong, but I pictured someone that was a storyteller/a bard for Brom. Someone who could pull an infuriating "I know something you don't, and you're so stupid, you'll never figure it out" act while making the audience laugh. Irons' Brom just made me mad sometimes. Saphira, Gods keep her great soul, was a little old sounding, though the instinctual maturity was definitely there.
I just pictured "the last person you'd expect to be a dragon rider" as the character type for Brom. And please know that I had very little memory of Gandalf when reading Eragon, and that Brom didn't remind me of the "know it all" wizard at all.
Dark heroes for the win! I feel like our generation is going to make them heroes... him, Anakin Skywalker, Galen Marek, Riku, Terra... Anyone wanna make a Byronic hero page!
I agreeeeee I squeal every time I see him and I can't help me. My mum thinks I'm crazy sometimes. I can watch the trailer for Eragon over and over again and squeal just as much every time XP
nah, irons did a great job bringing the old mentor/last rider
